Jazz...in strange places
I'm Jazz. I'm a smooth sax riff that slides into the night. A soft-core New Yorker. A lover of fine desserts and simple pleasures whose heels are always too high.

5 people who played with me:
i'm torn...all i can think of is the opportunity to take a white house tour, given by no other than Bill Clinton...wearing an apron...
and nothing else.
yes, politics are changing for me...i'm voting for the big laughs.
That makes an Oprah endorsement look like a pile of puke.
Puke, I say!
I am hoping Barack can beat the Clinton machine, but I'm not holding my breath. We definitely don't need more in-the-family presidents, whether it's father to son or husband to wife!
Love the shirt!
Let's see: Barack Obama, since becoming a senator, has:
1) helped deliver Chicago and Cook County the worst local government in its history (Todd Stroger -- Hillary and Bill Clinton did the same)
2) lies about his opponents health care plans (see Paul Krugman, TNR, others) and pretends you can let healthy young people not pay into a national system *until* they get sick and somehow make the numbers work
3) backstabbed the Save Darfur movement by hijacking a leadership role when George Clooney popularized the issue, then abandoning it upon anouncing for president, then plunging the knife in when he did a 180 reversal and stated that "genocide is not the criteria" for American action beyond sanctions
4) mysteriously can't find records of his meetings as state senator and whose law firm can't find his billing records for the Tony Rezko matters (Jazz, how likely is it that the big NY firms you work for don't keep their billing records?)
Kids, let this 40-something geezer give you a history lesson. There once was a Democrat who ran against "the beltway" as a "new kind of politician." Who had a great accademic record and seemed very intelligent. Who proclaimed a deep religious faith. Who favored negotiation and compromise with U.S. enemies.
His name was Jimmy Carter, and he delivered Republican rule for 12 years. He produced both inflation AND recession ("stagflation"). He let Iran turn from pro-West ally to the terror-supporting state it is today. Those who forget history are condemned to relive it.
If you want to vote Obama, do so, but please, do so on his policy and his record. And when you consider that "against the Iraq war" stance he so often touts, remember, he represented arguably the most liberal state senate district in Illinois (the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago) -- he didn't have a lot of choice.
Full disclsoure: if I had to vote in the Dem primary today, I'd vote for Biden -- I hope there is a deadlocked convention and Al Gore can come in.
um, the "barack" is almost lost underneath. but nice shirt! i'm still not 100% decided yet, and the absentee ballot should be arriving in a couple of weeks. damn early elections.
