It astounds me how mainstream republicans have no problem flat out lying, and the republican drones just lap it up no matter how obvious it is.
i hope more people are watching keith olbermann.

The next president could reverse the Bush tax cuts, cut military spending back to pre-war levels (which would be a mistake, because 5 years of the war has left the military in disrepair) and take back the baby boomer Medicare drug entitlement passed during Bush's first term and there still won't be money for any of the programs Obama proposes (McCain is responsible for a similar farce about reducing the deficit by cutting the government).
If the media wants to honor Russert's legacy, they'll start calling these candidates -- relentlessly -- on this sham. But it's far more likely to be someone like Gwen Ifill than the partisans on Fox or MSNBC.
